This month sees The Furnace take a new step into it’s exploration of the performing arts. Ever since the wonderful success of ‘The Happening’ in our February show (a live, spontaneous art and music jam featuring Jonathan Bentall and the Lee Mitchell Band), The Furnace has been fascinated with the idea of creating expression and performance that is conceived live on stage.
Flourish will see a collection of musicians, poets and singers come together to create a piece in front of the audience’s eyes. It will be a journey of cross-genre arts, with performers feeding off the atmosphere and reacting to what other artists are bringing to the forum.
The aim is that The Furnace will be clothed in a flourish of creativity;
a seminal moment of the freshest kind of performance.
