This month The Furnace is going to look and feel somewhat different to previous months. Determined to live up to our tag line and 'defy the boundaries', we are aiming to do something that redefines the genre of the performance arts night.
For this end, we've called upon the talents of theatre company LiveWire
(who brought us Sculpt back in breezy January) to create a show for us
that runs as a whole; a complete night, that takes over The Furnace and
turns it into a new world of dramatic art, incorporating the good old
peformance sets that we've grown so attached to.
Captive Thoughts is based around 3 theatrical monologues; 3 characters,
whose stories will transform Blithe Spirit both physically and dramatically
as our venue becomes the stage for their musings. Be prepared to step
into a world transformed into the very storybook that will be revealed
to us.
